Today, I tried to fire the worst worker I've ever had over the phone because he never shows up for work anymore. He said no and went crazy. HR and the police are now involved. FML

As far as I know one cannot decline being fired. Mail him his last paycheck and you probably don't have to worry about seeing him again because, if he hasn't been showing up for work he definitely won't now.

Imagine what he'd be like if a girl tried to break up with him... yikes!

That guy is going to have bad luck getting a reference lol. if he didn't want to be fired then maybe he should have showed up for work. i hope you and the other employees safety arent in jeopardy because of that lunatic

Oh yeah. I remember seeing that on the news.

Not cool at all. Glad to hear that everyone took action and did not ignore his threats, actions, or whatever he did or said. I recall a man being fired at my dad's workplace and after a few months, he decides to show up at work. Did he walk in the door? No. He DROVE himself into the building.

Why would you fire someone after they had clearly quit?
