Is there no way to order it in white? When I got my wedding dress I had the option of ordering it in either white or ivory. Also, it's ridiculous to dictate the color of your dress, even if they are paying for it. Best of luck!

woah... 'let' you wear white? seeing as you're getting married, you're old enough to make your own decisions for one of the most memorable days of your life. Id politely decline the gift and wear what i want to wear. They arent the ones walking down the isle.. its the Bride and Groom's big day. Not theirs. Best of luck Op. It's your wedding not theirs, you make the decisions about what goes on and what you wear, nothing to do with their views. You could have a circus wedding for all you want, it's not their place to *let* you do what you want

Honestly I'd say screw them and buy the dress I wanted, this isn't some prom dress, it's your wedding. Even if you have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to pay for it I would think having your dream dress in the end rather than regret would be worth it.

Just call it "candle white" instead of ivory. I'm a bride and I understand there are different shades of white but to be that nit picky is dumb.
