that isn't what you wanted to hear, but maybe he isn't ready yet. Give him time,he certainly do not have to be ready yet and I admire that he won't just say it to please anyone or due to pressure but because he means it. I'm it meant alot to him but maybe he didn't know how to respond.aube refrain from saying it for now so it is not awkward or pressurising, give him space to say it when he feels ready. well done OP, you are dealing with a tricky but common thing to happen.take care
