that's actually a myth, however you've even got the myth wrong. When you shave hair it appears to grow in darker because as opposed to growing in naturally and tapering to a point like normal hair, it has a blunt edged due to being cut by the razor. Waxing pulls the hair out at the root and therefore when it grows back would not appear any darker than the hair before.

its normal- and trust me, other people wont see it as clearly as you do. you may think that its "omg so dark and awful and hairy", but i can bet that no one else is even going to notice, or care for that matter.

This isn't Seinfeld lol, it apparently doesn't grow back thicker, it just looks that way because the individual hairs don't taper to a thin point, making it finer.

This isn't true for all people, it really does grow in thicker and darker for some people.

shaving does nothing to change your hair at all (except remove it of course!). the reason ppl think it grows back thicker and darker is bc @migglepop and people tend to start shaving in their teens, when their hair is naturally getting darker and thicker. OP: wax it!

then how come when guys start shaving, their beards and stuff are like soft and when they've been shaving for a couple years it seems rougher? huh? answer me that

Haha. Because when they start shaving they're 16 and their hormones haven't all aligned themselves yet. By the time they're 20, it's all settled out and more hormonal force is going into the hairs. (;

Actually I'm like the exception I think. I shave it off and it comes back the same as it did the first time I shaved it. It's the same with my legs and arms too.

Go ahead OP bleach it, the more you bleach it the brighter its going to appear, you're gonna have a patch of golden hair on your upper lip & make it even more distinctive, just shave it.

You should check out one of our teachers... we thought of giving her a man's shaving kit for birthday present. Girls in South India are way more hairier than anywhere in the world.

Hello, can I introduce you to Middle Eastern women? I'll bet we win that contest! However, I will say that in general, ME women are a lot more anal about hair removal since it's a pretty big social requirement to NOT look like your boyfriend/brother/uncle Ted. OP: Join the rest of the female population - hair removal is a fact of life - deal with it and wax.

Alright ready... Let's do this ;) (Kay armed with wax and cloth strips comes in) *rip* ahhhhh... I'm sure the screams can be heard for at least a 100 mile radius..

I know someone that had this problem pretty badly- and in other places. It turned out that she had a hormone problem because of ovarian cysts. Not to freak you out or anything, just if it's really bad, talk to your doctor about it.
