Today, I spent the night in hospital. As soon as I was alone, I writhed and twisted in all directions in my attempts to pee in a bottle left precisely for that purpose. It was at that moment that the doctor, a good-looking guy, came in. My legs were spread wide and I was right in the middle of doing my business. FML

Doctors don't care. Happens all the time. Trust me, I work at a hospital and see AT LEAST 5 of these kinds of things a day...if not more.

Don't they knock anymore? All those other people saying "don't worry, he's just a doctor" bother me. Yeah, maybe HE's not embarassed, but she just got walked in on peeing. Going to the bathroom is oddly personal and private, and since it's gross, not exactly something we want to share to the world. Very sorry for you, OP. D:

I call that an opportunity! I mean, if he found you attractive it probably wasn't that bad of a situation for him as it was for you.

I'm going to school to be a nursing assistant and every skill that we do we have to knock on the door before we enter.

lol it's all good. if anyone, a good looking doctor would be the least uncomfortable to be in that position with

Unless I'm confused you didn't have to stay in bed, why not go to the bathroom, even if you are in terrible pain they will make you go, I should know I've had five operations and each one I hated going to the bathroom, just be thankful you didn't have a catater in. They suck worse then what your post described.

Even if they had not had an operation, they could easily have had an Intravenous line in providing medication/fluids or a monitoring device which makes it impossible to get up because you are basically tied down. They could have been in for fainting, in which case they could not get up. Whatever the case, they should have left a bedpan, not a bottle, because even with the female attachment they leak. I have been a nurse for nearly 20 years and I have never given a female patient a bottle to pee in while they were on bed rest. The only explanation I can come up with is they were not in bed, but had been given a bottle to do a urine test and the Dr walked in on them trying to do the sample in the bathroom.

he's a doctor. not like it's the first time he has seen something weird

damn that sob! why couldn't he walk in later.
