Disc herniation can result in a broken/chipped spinal level, which can severely damage or impinge upon the spinal cord. Unfortunately the #1 sign of spinal cord damage is involuntary excretion and urination.

I laughed out SO loud, that my mom thought I was crazy, because I couldn't stop laughing for like.. 30 minutes, with tears running over my face.
