Today, a cute thirty-ish chick walked into the bar I work in. I asked her for her license to make her feel young. She didn't have her license on her and started yelling about how stupid it was to even ask, when she obviously was old enough to drink. She then got up and left. FML

Today, I was sent home for refusing to sign a write up at my restaurant. A customer insisted that she doesn’t drink soda so she’d like a ginger ale. I calmly explained to her that ginger ale is in fact soda. She told management I was being condescending and rude, because she didn’t believe me. FML

Today, I had to decline the sale of alcohol to a man who reeked of booze and was practically falling asleep at my till. He tried to convince me that he wasn't drunk, he was just blind. Today, working in a liquor store, I had to tell a girl I couldn't sell her alcohol since she was severely intoxicated. She told me to "cash me ousside, how bow dat?" then smashed a bottle of wine and left. FML

How did he do the right thing? I am in no way defending the customer for what she said, but I look underage as well and I don't get refused alcohol because I look young, I get asked for an ID. The customer is stupid for what they said, but, if you go straight off what is written in the FML, the OP is just as stupid for refusing based purely on looking underage without asking for an ID.

You can't assume that, the OP said they refused alcohol just because the Customer looked underage, if you go straight off what is said, I'd say the OP deserved the complaint, no matter how stupid the complaint was.

In terms of checking for some sort of ID, maybe she didn't have any with her and hoped to get away with it. If she didn't, then the law and most policies protect OP here.
