Today I received a call from the company I work for asking why I wasn't at a shift last night. Apparently my manager forgot to inform me of this shift when talking to me 2 days ago. I'm working at the same pub tonight and the General Manager isn't happy... FML

Of course, the GM isn't happy, he/ bar mgr screwed up by not informing you. That's not your fault, so shrug it off. A written, posted/ e-mailed schedule would be more fool-proof (tho never idiot-proof).
