Today, I put my headphones on and laid down to relax to some music. I fell asleep, and woke up later to a police officer busting into my house. My neighbor had been knocking on my door, then looked through my window and saw me on my couch, and was convinced I'd died. FML

Use the word 'check' in the place of 'peek'; it just makes you sound like a creeper instead of a concerned neighbour. Unless you are actually creeping, then I think you should stop.

#39, one problem with that would be if the first time you checked on them, they could have needed help, and the second time you checked they could have died. If you saw that the first time you checked and called the cops, you could have saved a life.
