Today, I'm recovering from a brain injury that occurred a few months ago. The newest challenge I'm facing is thinking the floor is moving any time there is a change in colour or texture. My house has patterned tile floors and carpet. FML

Maybe you can lay down some plain rugs?

If you try and replace the offending rugs with ...floating floors , will that cause a lot of rowing in your house ?

This is such a clunky play on words, but I snorfled anyway, so you get a thumbs up from me. :P

Just place a giant blue tarp over your floor- Problem solved and now you can walk around with shoes on without getting dirt on the carpet :)

I have no real words that will help you. I am so sorry for what you are going through and I hope that you recover quickly and completely. Good luck.

OP, for our clients that have similar experiences, we would put something down on the floor that would interrupt the pattern. It can, depending on the person, be as small as a piece of white paper. You can also get some cheap rolls of paper and put that down as needed, just watch out for trip-hazards. Best of luck in your recovery!

Time for some new flooring OP! Best of luck to you.

I think you ate brave enough to wake up and face your fears everyday... Keep it up....
