You need to have a serious sit down and talk to him about his OCD, maybe try to get him to finally get help.
That's a bit harsh coming from your grandson. You guys need to sit down and talk about why he thinks it's okay to lie and say you have dementia, and also maybe suggest to him the idea of getting help for his OCD.
This sounds like a case of obsessive compulsive disorder, maybe try convincing him to get treatment for it?
That's a pretty sucky thing to tell people
