Today, I succeeded in getting a seat on a crowded bus. I regretted this when, after a couple of stops, a big guy boarded the bus and stood next to me with his penis pressed against my shoulder. Longest. Bus ride. Ever. FML

Today, while on the bus, I found out the seat I'd taken was the preferred spot of a very hostile and extremely overweight freshman. Instead of letting me find different place to sit, she half sat on me, and completely ignored my attempts to dislodge myself all the way to school. FML

Today, a pregnant woman got on the bus. There were no free seats, so I stood up to give her mine. An obese man pushed past her, waddled over, and oozed into my seat. I said it was for the pregnant lady. He called me a "sexist bitch" and claimed he needed it more. FML

Today, I was supposed to fly home for my dad's funeral, but the woman in the seat next to me was so obese, her bulging flesh left absolutely no way for me to sit in my seat. I complained to the stewardess, who then forced me to leave the plane just for raising my voice in frustration. FML

Today, I got on the bus. Before I could make it to a free seat, the driver hit the gas, and the sudden movement caused me to stumble and accidentally grab onto another passenger for support. She didn't appreciate this, accused me of molesting her, and got me thrown back off. FML

Today, I was riding the bus home from school. I was sitting by myself, and my backpack was occupying the seat next to me. A hot girl boarded the bus, and was standing right where I was sitting. I placed my backpack on my lap, freeing up the seat. The girl stood the entire bus ride. FML

as a fat girl... STOP SAYING PEOPLE CANT HELP BEING OBESE. there's such a small amount of obese people who are in the situation solely for other health reasons. 99% of the time it's pure laziness (which I admit to on my part).

Having experienced this many times on airplanes, I feel OPs pain. Irregardless of the reason for a persons size, they have a duty to only occupy as much space as they have paid for, and to be conscious and respectful of those around them. Sadly, with international travel, obesity concerns me much less than poor personal hygiene does.

Exactly. This isn't just a weight issue. It's about personal space and common courtesy. I've had guys sit next to me on the bus and spread their legs so wide that it forces me into uncomfortable positions. Or people with bulky clothes or shopping bags or big purses who take up all the room. Or people who are incredibly dirty who don't care that they are making contact with you. It's rude. Obese or not.
