Today, I had a performance evaluation meeting with my boss. He told me I was the best in my department, and that the productivity has never been higher before I started working here. Oh, and he said that because everything is working so well, they don't need me as much, so he's cutting my hours. FML

Today, I had my six month employee review. My manager said that my attendance was good, and I was exceeding my targets performance wise. My reward, a five cent per hour pay cut. Apparently the rate at which I started is too high to meet their current pay scale. FML

Today, my boss told me I may lose my job due to underperformance. I was shocked, as he'd previously mentioned that I was performing well, and that I was safe from the current company wide layoffs. I asked him what I need to improve on. He said that my instant messages to him are sometimes too long. FML

Today, my boss told me that my attitude to work is awesome and that he'd follow my example of coming in half-an-hour early every day from now on. I relish those 30 minutes as the only time I can get work done without him constantly interrupting me. So much for that. FML

That happened to my husband to such a degree that his gross monthly amount went down by half.It was a bad month. He told them that if he was so valuable they better treat him like and pay him like it, or he would go to the company's top rival and work for them instead. they gave him a $2 raise and said he can work as often or as little as he likes, and they gave him a company truck. Try it, you might make off well.

#24 could be right. It is more than likely that he is not. Idiot managers like this are part of the problem with the economy now. To expect decent behaviour from most companies is naive. He is cutting your hours to cut his cost and probably give him a marginal raise for doing so. Just look for another job and keep your head up.

that only sucks if you're paid hourly, if you have a set amount of hours you have to work you should have a set pay so your pay shouldn't go down dumbo
