Today, I got excited when my phone vibrated because I thought someone actually wanted to talk to me. When I grabbed my phone, I realized my mind had played a trick on me and I only thought it vibrated. I'm so lonely, I subconsciously trick myself into thinking I have friends. FML

Today, my mum had no legitimate reason to have her daily yell at me, so she resorted to bitching me out for putting her phone on charge after it started beeping with a low battery warning. FML

Today, I downloaded an application that notifies me when my phone is fully charged. I had no idea how it actually functions, but I plugged the charger in and went to bed. A couple of hours later, I woke up to a man's voice screaming, "I can't take it anymore!" I nearly wet myself. FML

Today, the power went out at work. As everyone left the building to go home, the owner came in to inform me that, since the phones were on a battery back up, I would be staying to man them. The phones rang 2 times in the 4 hours I sat in the dark by myself. Both times were telemarketers. FML

Today, I was visiting my new in-laws for the first time. During an awkward silence, I took my phone and figured I'd send my friend a text jokingly saying "Mayday, mayday! Somebody save me!" My mood lightened up a little and I felt quite well until my mother-in-law's phone beeped. Yep. FML

Today, I went on FML to read some FML's. Half of them weren't even FML-worthy. FML. And before some smart ass comes by, yes, ^ that wasn't very FML worthy either, but the only thing setting me apart from the OP is i'm not going to bother posting that up since I can tell whether or not something is FML worthy or not (in fact, most people can).

I'd be lying if I said I never thought the I got a text when it was just in fact low battery. But I never got excited about it. And never then bored enough to go tell the world on FML. Your life is indeed ****** sir.. but YDI for not having a life!

Wow the commenters here are real dickheads. If this gets accepted as an FML, then it's the fault of the people moderating it for allowing it to be accepted. Stop whingeing. But yeah, OP, this really isn't a big deal to be fair. This happens to me all the time. I love it when I get a text/call/email from a friend or something. I don't actually know why. I just do! But the whole low battery thing has happened quite a few times to me too. Fairly annoying. Just because people don't text/call you regularly doesn't mean you're a loser or anything like that. It's perfectly fine. I'd rather than I never got texts/calls, and knew that I had at least good friends there who I could see in person; rather than get lots of texts/calls from random people I don't even like.
