Today, I got a steering wheel cover to stop my obsessive steering wheel picking. After putting it on, I realized it was crooked, causing me to have OCD fits every time I drive. I can still pick at the steering wheel around the cover. FML

Well, can't you return the one you have and exchange it for a different, bigger one?

Super glue it, haha! But seriously, maybe you should talk to someone about how to manage this; I understand it's a serious issue and you want to feel as safe and comfortable as possible while operating a motor vehicle.

Just readjust it or go exchange it for a new one.

The only thing you should be doing while driving is driving.

how about trimming your nails! it should help.

what is wheel picking and what does it have to do with your nails ? I understand it's a manifestation of ocd, but I just can't imagine what exactly OP is doing

Digging her nails into the steering wheel and gouging pieces off. Cutting her nails short would make it harder.

It's a jungle out there, disorder and confusion everywhere, no one seems to care but I do, hey, who' s in charge here?

This reminded me of Adrian Monk, too.

Thought someone else might ask but, what exactly is 'steering wheel picking'? Is it like ripping little bits off the steering wheel? Is that a thing? o.O

My steering wheel has a plastic core and a firm foam around the core so its easy and comfortable to handle. It even has a ballooned out part at 9-3 position to keep my hands at the right place. I assume she's ripping the foam off her steering wheel and will eventually get to the hard plastic core.

Stop being an asshole and get over it

Wait, what?! An asshole for having OCD? Insensitive prick you are #23

Ahh those nice little OCD quirks. Be thankful, I pluck my eyelashes make this weird noise with my mouth.

I pluck my eyelashes too! I never met someone who also did that.

As so many other posts: this is not OCD. It's like biting your nails, and that's not worth an FML.

Try and get help for your OCD, it could get pretty dangerous when driving. And exchange the cover for a bigger one.
