At first I thought this said prostitution and not presentation. I would talk with with and when they ask if you have gum I would open my mouth wide and get up in there face to see if there was any gum in there and then tell them it's an impairment

Go talk to your teacher. Surely something can be done!

How does your instructor not know that you don't have a speech impediment? Can you ask that your grade be revised because you weren't chewing gum?

I have a speech impediment as well, so I know how that feels. I had a few grade mishaps because of it. I never cared about grades tho

You should mention that to the teacher so they know for future reference; and to possibly get those points back that they took away.

That's very unfair. I'm sure he neither could nor would mark you down for that if he knew - make sure you let him know!

I've always wondered why "speech impediment" is the term they went with given it's length and pronunciation.
