Today, I found out what it feels like to get hit in the head with a bat. Not the wooden kind though. The one that bites and claws you when it gets stuck in your hair. FML

A healthy bat won't attack anything large than a grasshopper and certainly won't accidentally hit an obstacle. Go to the hospital. Untreated rabies is 100% fatal.

OP, the average incubation period for rabies is three to seven weeks. Hope you caught the bat for observation.

I'd they caught the bat they don't observe them they would send in the head for test. If it was at stage to attach then test would tell if rabid. Second signs can show in first ten days to three weeks. Best thing is get animal tested.

Have to treat within the first 24-48 hours, waiting longer treatment becomes ineffective and 100% death rate ensues... So, hospital, now. Great if you've got the animal, but don't wait either way
