My dad likes to fill water bottles with carbonated water and mix them amongst the other water bottle so you guzzle it unexpectedly.

The theater I work at has four of those touch screen coke machines with the couple dozen flavors. The upside is it is so much fun to play with The downside is, every coke I get tastes a bit like every other drink in the machine because they use the same nozzle

Never seen one of those machines before, but couldn't you run plain water for a few seconds? Wouldn't clear all of it, but it would probably help.
