Today, I discovered the effect the cream has that my mom gave me. It was for my acne and it worked, in a way. Instead of having a lot of little pimples, I now just have a few gigantic ones. FML

Today, I got a new skin cream for my acne. I tested it on a small patch of skin just to make sure I wasn't allergic. I was, and the reaction didn't stay on that small patch of skin. My left arm is now almost entirely covered in a horrible rash. FML

Today, my new prescription medicine for my chronic acne did in fact work. It worked by inflaming the skin around my zits so that they blended in. FML

Today, I realized that that tingly feeling on my face when I put a new combination of acne wash, acne medication, and my usual moisturizer on was not, in fact, "it working." It was slowly peeling away the top layer of skin. I look and feel sunburned. I also still have acne and oily skin. FML

Today, I'm now able to put my acne cream on my face without having to look in the mirror, because I've memorized the crater and trench-filled war zone that is my acne-riddled face. FML

Today, I found out that what I thought was "acne" is actually an allergic reaction to a cream I've been using for years. I thought the cream was helping me with the breakouts but my doctor says the real acne probably went away naturally years ago. FML

Today, I followed an acne treatment. It was only after I'd finished the treatment that I read the bottom line, stating "Do not scrub your face". I only had one pimple to start with, now it looks like I sandpapered my face. FML

Today, I had a large pimple on my temple. I decided to try the whole "put toothpaste on the zit to make it dry up" technique that all the magazines say to do. Not only is my pimple still there, but the toothpaste irritated my skin and my already large pimple now appears three times bigger. FML

Acne cream frequently expands your pores so it's easier to clean them out. Neutragena makes exfoliating pore shrinking scrubs and moisturizers you can use after cleaning out the last few pores. I bet other companies do too, but the store I work at (I work in a drug store cosmetics section) only carries their brand in store.

mix soap with baking soda apply to a cotton ball apply to acne wash it off in about 15 minutes eat healthy and work out i hope this will help you

anyone saying "avoid oils and creams" are 100% wrong. its a common misconception. look up "oil cleansing" it was the best thing that ever happened to me and my acne. its a rule if chemistry that like dissolves like, wash your face with olive oil or your favorite plant oil.

I know sometimes with acne treatment you break out when you first start using it to get all the bad stuff out of your skin then it clears, give it a week maybe?
