Today, I discovered that when my professor had said "For every A there will be an F," he was deadly serious. I earned a 94% mark, which in this class is known as a D. FML

Not that bad... Well don't let a bad grade get you down :)

OP got 94% and got a D for it. That's bad, in fact it's shit.

That's bullshit, you should leave a bag full of dog shit on his desk with a note saying "thanks for the bad grade dick".

I believe it's "Thanks for failing me, bitch!"

Ya but this teacher is a male. So I changed it to dick.

That is grounds for speaking to the dean.

exactly what I was thinking. unless the department you're in has specific grading curves and you knew about it from day one then your teacher has no right to grade that way.

Exactly. In no way should a 94% ever be a D. A-/B+ is possible, but a D?!? C'mon.

32 - it would be very unusual for them not to know from day one. In every class, at every college I've ever attended, grading is explained in the syllabus.

that was my point. I was in a medical related class and the department had a grading curve in which you had to get an 84 for a C. It was bull (in my opinion) but it was in the syllabus so at least I knew how hard I had to work

Either there is steep curve on grades or you missed 94% of the questions. Otherwise, this FML is pretty damn lame

Wow...I know guys on meth that make more sense than this college professor

Perhaps this professor is on meth. It would make for an interesting lecture.

How us that even possible? It wiuld be funny if thus was a math professor you were talking about.

It would also be funny if you learned to spell

If the average is 97%, then that sounds about right. Too bad your professor can't figure out how to write hard tests:(

If the tests were any harder, OP would still probably be on the lower end of the range. OP probably wouldn't complain since it would be more obvious.

Grading on the curve, can have it's backlashes.
