Today, I discovered that my male coworker, who coincidentally shares my last name, has been telling everyone we're married. I'm 26; he's 58. FML

Jokes about divorce aside, pretty sure that counts as harassment. I suggest you complain to someone.

harassment is the feeling of making someone uncomfortable. if there were two lovebirds flirting with each other in the office and makes the people around them uncomfortable, that is also harassment

Tell everyone it's a marriage in name only because he's impotent. That he makes you stand on the corner bumming change after work, and that all he wants to do at home is lay around in your bra and panties.

Come on people, it's a joke he is telling, I'm sure he tells the truth right after.

You can tell everyone you're getting a divorce because of something inappropriate

He's probably just messing with you, don't worry about it

If it's just a joke, that is sort of charming

Tell everyone you walked in on him, the dog, and peanut butter. Now you want a divorce.

What a weirdo! Is he telling it as a joke?? Ugh if not set the record straight!! Maybe talk to your boss too because this could get even weirder

aside most of these comments, best way to deal with it is to talk to the coworker, explain (if it isn't a joke) you don't appreciate it and that either way you want him to stop. if it doesn't stop, then escalate by taking it to HR. be careful, and try to avoid threatening the person ("if you dont stop I'll go to HR"), it won't help the situation.

U should announce that you are not married to him so everybody sees him as the creepy bastard he is
