Today, I checked into a hotel because my boss had assigned me to a new position. As soon as the reception lady looked up, she had me kicked out of the hotel. Apparently, one of the regulations is, "No prostitutes allowed." I was wearing a business suit. FML

Today, I was at our hotel waiting for my husband to finish his shower so we could have our anniversary dinner, when hotel security forcefully removed me from the building because they do not allow "prostitutes" to look for clients on their property. They thought I was a hooker. FML

Today, I checked into a hotel for a work trip. When I walked in, the sheets and bath mat were stained, and there was soap-encrusted hair stuck in my folded towel. When I got back later in the day, all my stuff was gone because they apparently thought I'd checked out. FML

Today, I went to my retail job to buy some clothing. As soon as I walked through the doors, my manager yelled at me for not being in appropriate work clothes. I tried to explain that I was off the clock but he was having none of it. I got written up. FML

Today, my boss called me into her office to tell me I needed to mind my own business and not question everything my newest co-worker does. Yesterday, I stopped the new girl from giving $6,000 to the wrong person. I was fired on the spot. The new girl was promoted into my job. FML

Today, my boss threatened to fire me for racism after I refused to hire a black woman. I didn't hire her because she came to the interview wearing what was basically a bikini and she was covered in tattoos depicting lewd sex acts. FML

Today, I was working a concert ticket booth. A lady gave me her ticket, I punched it, and told her to enjoy the show. She asked for the “hotel.” Apparently, she thought that the concert ticket cost included a hotel stay, since she traveled from out of state. She cussed me out and had to be escorted out. FML

I've never stayed at a Holiday Inn that kicks out prostitutes. Also, most decent hotels have arrangements with local business and establishments where the hotel gives out coupons for free services, and when they are redeemed the the hotel pays the business for the services. I was out at a hotel in Calgary when a maid cleaned off the dining nook table and threw out half a draft of an original novel I was writing. Since I didn't have a copy on computer and the handwritten draft was irretrievable, I spent the rest of my stay white water rafting, horseback riding and rock climbing in Horseshoe Canyon. Free room for my current stay, open bar, $500 dollar gas card and a weeks free stay the following year. I had been going there for almost 12 years though, usually a month at a time, so I'm not saying everyone should expect that. Point is, any decent hotel (even Holiday Inn) can provide guests that have been wronged with some decent apologies gifts.
