Today, I called in sick to work two days in a row, taking full precautions to not contaminate the food at the restaurant I work at. I was told that I can't work until I bring in a doctor note. My mom refuses to bring me to the doctor, knowing it's only a cold that will pass over. Stalemate. Fml.

Today, I got a letter back from the family I will be staying with as a part of an exchange program. Apparently they own a slaughterhouse type farm, and I'm expected to kill one of their animals and eat it as a gift from the family. I'm a vegan. FML
