Today, my mother invited me to a nice restaurant to meet her boyfriend whom she's been seriously dating for a month. Imagine my surprise when she led me to a table and my boyfriend's father stood up, shocked, to greet me. Rather than being horrified, she is now planning double dates every week. FML

Well not as often as you'd think. "Hey honey, come over here and meat grandpa!" (opens freezer) "Shit he's starting to rot we better get that taxidermist over here!" Well dinners with ghosts would be slightly less creepy I guess.

How old is your mother, and how old is your boyfriend? Why is he just meeting your parents after a year and a half? Most people get that over with earlier. Are your parents married still?
