Today, I arrived in the US for my holiday, and found out I left my phone charger at home, this wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have a phone with a very odd charging port, that only my specialized charger fits, no store sells the charger, I have go for a week with 73% battery. FML

You can use an universal charger though. You have to remove the battery and place it in the charger. Do this when you go to sleep and wake up with a full battery.

#1 said it best. But if you can't find one of those for whatever reason, you can overnight a charger from Amazon or something too

I admire your willingness to phone shop outside of the mainstream. Lord knows I wouldn't - sounds like a pain in the ass

order one online with overnight shipping, or get a cheap burner phone

Did you really want to spend your holiday on buzzfeed anyway? Turn off everything except the phone function and turn the whole lot off when you don't need it. It'll last longer than you expect and you'll have a chance to "unplug". We all need an occasional break from being in constant contact.
