Today, finally accepting the fact that the love of my life has moved on, I took myself to a movie, alone, on a Saturday night. After buying the last ticket to a sold out movie and trying to find the only open seat in the dark, I sit down... right next to my ex-best friend AND my ex-fiancé. FML

why would you want to stand for 2 hours? and you aren't supposed to sit in an aisle. it's a fire hazard.

OP should've called up some friends and chilled together instead. Doing anything alone after a breakup will only make you realize that you're more alone than you really are. Friends are usually there to cheer you up anyways :) IMO, OP deserves it.

no, they could not have stood up or sat in the aisle. people would complain because if the op stood, they could block other people's view or just be very distracting. sitting in the aisle is against the fire code, and it could have gotten them kicked out. people could Also trip over them if they left during the movie got bathroom breaks. besides, they would have looked like a total idiot

I am from Michigan, too. What is it with relationships in this state? Almost the same exact thing happened to me about 2 years ago. I loved her dearly, but our relationship fell apart overnight without any real explanation. I found out she recently got married to him. It has taken me some time, but I am starting to realize that the love of my life would never have done that to me, and you will, too.

Wow...are you the only one from Michigan who has any common sense, then? I know too many people from said state that are either players or complete idiots. They don't deserve anyone's time of day.
