Today, both my brother and sister missed my wedding. She was playing in a Call of Duty tournament, and he got so high that he forgot about the wedding completely. He was my best man. FML

Of course there was. Yes I would enjoy having a family that supports me in what I would like to do for a career but I love my sister she has been there for me though my brother's death to my mother getting a mental illness ,I don't even think I would be alive if it wasn't for her and I feel sorry for this man for not having a sibling to be there for him. I guess I should have been more clear

I'm sorry OP. I feel your pain. One of my husband's sisters slept through our ceremony and I had to leave my own wedding reception to go get her, and the other one showed up about six hours after we left for our honeymoon.

Um, actually it was their brother's wedding. The bride doesn't have a best man, that's the groom. But I agree, it was quite relentless of them to skip an event that meant so much to their sibling.

#33, I think you're probably on to something there. No excuses for the brother, he's still an asshole for not coming, but you could see how it would be an awkward situation for him, especially as the best man.
