Today at work, an old woman saw my picture of my son felt the need to come tell me what to do. I am a single mother. She told me that one day I will find a man to take care of me so I would spend more time with my son instead of working. She stayed 3 hours after we closed talking with her friend.FML

You don't need anyone to take care of you. I was raised by a single mom and I never felt as if I was missed anything. And if you do find a significant other, I hope you two make an awesome team. Try to ignore the "Stepford Wives" philosophers.

Today, I had to drive my grandmother to the emergency room. I periodically tried to call my parents but neither of them picked up, even when I called the house. We sat there for 6 hours and still no one took her to a room, and no response. Mom finally called back, only to tell me to get her a pack of cigarettes. FML

Today, I went and had my first ultrasound done. My husband said he had a meeting at work, and couldn't come. As I was leaving, I saw him at the doctor's office with another heavily pregnant woman. FML

Today, I finally convinced my girlfriend to allow the cats to sleep with us on the bed. As we started to cuddle, one of the cats pissed right in between us. We are sleeping on the couch until the baking soda absorbs the smell in the mattress. I'll be sleeping there longer than that. FML
