Sorry but that's YDI for convincing her to try out for the team in the first place.

#22 I hate when people stereotype cheerleaders as ditzy blonde sluts
I'm a cheerleader and a honor roll student and not a whore at all

Now is she upset you pushed her into something she didn't want to do or because she didn't get something you convinced her she could do?
Why do parents suggest really specific things? I mean, fair enough suggest stuff for her to get into, but give her a few options and let her pick one she wants to do.

Mom should be able to tell if her daughter is too ugly or uncoordinated to try out.

YDI, next time let them figure it out for themselves that they suck instead of you practically proving it to them, hahaha

If she didn't want to try out you shouldn't have made her. That's never the right approach.

By shallow do you mean pre-judging an entire group of people based solely on the sport they participate in? Obviously everyone can be shallow sometimes.

There many types of cheerleading a few are highschool cheer and allstar cheer highschool cheer involves no strenght or anything therefore not a sport allstar cheerleading is 100% a sport. Look it up, seriously.

Personally, I agree. OP was just trying to help, having her join something to boost her confidence is great. But OP had her daughter try out for something, with only a chance to get in. Obviously her daughter didn't get in, so instead of helping her confidence it only tore it apart. It's mainly the way OP went about trying to bring her confidence up that's stupid. I'm in the middle about it, FYL because you were just trying to help your daughter but YDI because you pressured/convinced her to do something she didn't want to and now she's crying.
