Today, after preparing for this day for weeks, I got food poisoning from a chicken salad that caused me to stay home and miss my AP Environmental Science exam and a fundraising event that I was a keynote speaker in. I didn't even know food poisoning from a salad was possible. FML

Chicken salad with mayo? Cause that's like 5 different ways to get food poisoning. A salad with chicken on it still has poultry and presumably dressing, both of which can still get you very sick

Salad is one of the leading causes of food poisoning. It is very hard to wash lettuce properly

Food doesn't have to have ingredients in which carry bacteria. If the person has touched raw chicken then touched a fridge handle, then touches the handle again and touches the salad, they basically just rubbed a raw chicken in your salad. You can get food poisoning from literally anything that you put in your mouth.
