It could have been there from another time people visited. If someone's hand left grease or dirt on the mirror then its much harder for condensation to form on it, hence, the print. I doubt that you're being haunted OP.

Maybe someone who came over previously put their hand on the mirror (for whatever reason), then the steam from the shower made the handprint visible again. Either that or you have a stalker

If I was the guy that posted the fml and I read all these comments I would be extremely paranoid to do anything in my house, because everyone is saying a bucks of creepy things that could have happened..

#100: Can confirm. I use the finger-oil trick to prank my friends with creepy or hilarious mirror messages. If they don't clean their mirrors, those messages can last for a long, long time. (Pro tip: Use a small amount of cooking oil for extra oiliness => extra message-longevity.)

did you know that once a man in japan was hearing noises while he was sleepinh through his apartment but he didn't think any of it but it got really disturbing so he set up some cameras and found out that a homeless woman was living in his closet for the past 2 months... so anything is possinle
