Today, after months of busting our asses and working round the clock on our latest project, I and the whole office just got bad news: when our boss promised extremely generous bonuses for doing all this, he was point-blank lying, and intended to take credit for our work all along. FML

Today, everyone at the office was finally presented with the bonuses our boss had promised to pay us by the end of last year. Turns out he was never authorized to promise any such thing, so he ended up just giving us signed "thank you" letters instead. FML

Today, after I told my boss I'd found a serious error that cost the company thousands each year, I found out he'd fled abroad. Turns out the error was him stealing for the past 40 years, our entire department is under investigation and the owner is considering scrapping our office and firing us. FML

Today, due to being stressed and overwhelmed by my tasks, I made a mistake and completed a few of my colleagues' tasks as well. When I informed my boss about it, he said that I did an outstanding job, but I shouldn't have messed with other people's documents. As a result, my promised raise is cancelled. FML

Today, the CEO of my company wanted to meet with me. I was excited until I found out she just wanted to bitch me out and personally fire me. Later on, I found out my boss had totally shafted me and blamed the failure of a big project on me instead of admitting it was all his fault. FML

Today, I finished a huge project for work. It took 3+ days and I was very proud of it. Except when I submitted it to my boss, he said that he'd already asked another person to do it. He used that person's project, not mine. FML

Today, my co-worker received a $1,000 bonus for a project that I do all the work on. My direct supervisor thought that I was an assistant. I send him an e-mail copy of the project every week, and have done so for the past six months. I was later reprimanded for not congratulating my co-worker. FML

Noo, they were working their asses off for the free air and possible migraines that hard work with projects might bring. They definitely didn't want the extra money, what sane person wants that? I'm not sure if you were dropped as a child or just lack all common sense..

That is so wrong. You all worked hard on that project, while in turn I'm sure, he had no part other than watching you guys do all the work. Total dick move. My impression is that he has no morals/values, and does not care about his workers. He only cares about himself. If you have proof, perhaps there is something you guys can do?? He can't take credit for what is yours. Especially if your name is on it.

This reminds me of something I read a while back. A guy is walking toward the company building in the morning to get to work when he sees his boss pull up in a shiny new sports car. The guy says, "Wow, boss, that sure is a nice car! How did you manage to get one?" The boss replies, "Well, son, if you work really hard, pull extra hours, and work overtime without pay, I can afford an even nicer one next year!"
