That's understandable 52, but it just means you can't be upset if no one knows your name or doesn't invite you out or try to make friends with you. People can't not talk to people and then be upset when no one knows them or wants to hang out with them. It might be really hard to do, but it could be in op's best interest to try.

It's true. If you work for me for three years and I don't know your name or nickname (for those impossible to pronounce ones), you're first on the chopping block when the time comes.

I understand what you guys are saying, but I meant it more as in, the OP has clearly been performing their job duties correctly and hasn't needed corrective actions.not a problem employee

if I don't even know your name, how would I know if you put in the extra effort. also it's always a good idea to have a decent relationship with your boss, without kissing the boss's ass.

1.) Set your ringtone to What's my name by Rihanna. 2.) If you want to change things start slow by having a casual conversation with someone. Begin with the new employee it's a fresh start. It may seem hard, but you can overcome shyness with practice.

Or be like me I enjoy not talking to people. I find most people to be irritating. That doesn't mean that if you try to talk to me I'll ignore you or be rude. I find being alone gives me more time to just think.
