Today, a man tried to rob the store I work at. Before the guy was taken by the cops, he complained to my manager for "unfriendly behavior". He took it seriously and bitched me out for not providing "quality service" to our customers. FML

Retail is one of the worst jobs out there. It's utterly shocking to see how many customers lack basic manners, and how many workers lack basic people skills.

I work in retail myself and deal with many irrational customers. It's amazing just how shitty they'll treat the person that is serving them. like they're above you just because you work at a grocery store.

Something tells me that #18 hasn't worked in customer service for longer than a week. We get this one family that comes in to the restaurant EVERY week, bunch of grown ass women whining like children, there hasn't been a single time that they haven't complained about something. Luckily, my managers know what people are like so they don't take it seriously unless it's a real complaint

If I found that a restaurant was leaving me unhappy week after week, I'd just do something crazy like stop going... I'm assuming they're after freebies?

#18 maybe you are an inconsiderate ass, who doesn't realize that there are actual people who work in customer service. You should treat them with the respect that you want, instead of feeling entitled to people being nice to you even though are being an asshole.

That's assuming the manager isn't justified in his actions. I'm not saying he is, there is a good chance he isn't, but there is no way to really tell.

I don't know 67, I'm thinking that someone who tried to rob my store gets absolutely no say in how things are run or how the service was. His opinion means nothing and he clearly can't be trusted!
