This Man Was Found And Arrested From A Sketch That Looks Like A Cartoon
A man pretending to be an employee at a farmers market in Lancaster, Pennsylvania thought he was going to get away with the perfect crime: pretend to an employee while the real one steps out, steal a bunch of cash, and then just walk out like it’s nobody's business.
The perpetrator, Hung Phuoc Nguyen, probably thought he was well in the clear by the time police found him at an intersection more than a week after the incident took place.
And what was it exactly, that led to his downfall? Well, none other than this work of art.
The sketch was given to police along with a physical description, though we like to believe it was the picture itself that really did the trick. According to the
Lancaster Bureau Of Police the picture may have been cartoonish, but it was apparently sufficient enough to jog someone's memory to at least provide a name.
After being found at the intersection on February 9th, Nguyen was arrested and charged with 2 Counts Theft By Unlawful Taking, and he was taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $1,500 bail.
We have to admit, the resemblance is uncanny.
