This Girl Got Dumped By Her Boyfriend Over The Way She Treated The Waitress. We Salute Him.

By Nadine / mardi 27 février 2018 10:00
If you're dining, and they're serving, then keep in mind they've got it worse than you and just be polite. Their entire job is one big FML: No one's dream come true is to be a server. So be polite, or in this case... get dumped.

Naturally, there are tons of good tales to tell about Valentine's Day. Sure, some are mushy and like, approximately 1 trillion people get proposed to. And that's all great and wonderful, but really, that's now what we're here for. We came here for the nitty gritty, the ugly, and the hilarious. You know, those stories about people getting dumped on V-day. And this one takes the cake, because the girl definitely deserved it.

They say you can learn a lot about a person by the way that they treat the people who are serving them. Most people can agree that being overly kind to a server (who is likely miserable!) is the way to go. But not this girl, and well. She paid for it.

The subreddit Tales From Your Server is a place where servers can share their horror stories, and this one from lusfulspiritanimal definitely got noticed, picked up by our pals at Bored Panda, and now again here for you guys. Enjoy -- and don't forget to tip 20%. Being polite is great but it doesn't pay their bills.

It's been said on this app before, but I seriously think that people should be required to work in any form of customer service for at least two years by law before they're allowed to work a job outside of that realm. It won't cut out rude and unpleasant customers entirely, but it may decrease the number of them.

It's not simple cause and effect. It's the idea that there's some supernatural force meting out justice on people. Either in your next life if you go by the Hindu version or in real time if you go by the bastardised western version. Either way, it's a load of woo that does not actually exist and I find it rather sad that this has to be said to a bunch of presumably grown adults in the first place.

You seem to be taking this way too seriously. I don’t believe in karma as a religious force. It’s just a saying, a common way of expressing, ‘You got what you deserved’ or ‘What goes around comes around’. Is this universally true that if you treat people poorly, that you’ll get treated poorly? No, sometimes you get elected President.

I can’t fathom that people like this exist. How do people have non-existent self-awareness like that? I doubt she learned her lesson. You know she thought she was 100% in the right even after she got dumped.

My dad is an asshole, but he's the one who's always told me to be as nice as possible to servers, cleaners, cashiers, and such. Never piss off the people handling your food, trash, or money.

Plot twist: She's just bitchy because her boyfriend gave away his Valentine's present because Valentine's is for women, not men.
