Sexist Man Makes Completely Incorrect Assumptions About Sculpture And Gets Shut Down Quickly

By Nadine / mercredi 7 mars 2018 05:30
By, you know, someone who bothered to do 3 minutes of research.

You don't have to scroll through the dark web to see the terrors of the internet. People get really high and mighty with the keyboard, spouting opinions left and right (no pun intended) like it's nobody's business. With freedom of speech, however, comes freedom of ignorance. It's well within your right to not fact check literally anything before you post it; but be warned: if you don't, you might just be revealed as the idiot you actually are -like this guy was.

Eh, wrong on both parts. The sculptor is neither male nor western. Do your reasearch, kids.

That's right! The sculptor is actually succesful female artist Luo Li Rong, who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Beijing.

What's possibly the best part of the story, however,  are the comments from everyone else which are probably funnier than the guys original fuck up.

Just want to point out, the dude isn't just or even primarily sexist -- he's a white supremacist. "The West" and the "Deus Vult" hashtag are giveaways. In an era where that ideology is gaining worrisome amounts of influence, it's important to point it out.

Asian artists always amaze me with the level of details they they are able to put into their art. Especially when drawing Hentai. They capture every vein and curve accurately.

The guy literally couldn't believe that a female sculptor could put in that level of detail and passion into a female sculpture. In what world is that not sexist?
