Today, I was reversing my brother's car out of a driveway. I turned to my friend in the passenger seat and said, "Check it out, I'm so good at reversing!" Next minute there's a huge bang. I had just reversed into a tree and shattered the windscreen. FML

Today, my son thought he'd take my new car for a drive without permission. He accelerated straight into a tree, reversed into a lamppost and then accelerated again into the neighbours car. FML

Today, my father took me out for some driving lessons. I accidentally reversed while still in the driveway, and I instinctively hit the brakes. In my panic, I accidentally let go of the brakes, and ended up reversing straight into our house, all while my father yelled "NOOOOOO!" FML

Today, I was just about to get in the shower, when I heard a loud crunch. I thought to myself, boy the neighbours next door must be doing some heavy construction. Two seconds after that thought, my brother knocked on the door to inform me that the neighbours tree had just fallen on my car. FML

Today, I took my driving test. Completing the test, we returned and parked at the testing facility. As my tester was complimenting me, I leaned down to wind my window up, catching my long hair in the window. Frantically thrashing, I put the car in drive and floored it into a concrete wall. FML

Today, I had my first accident in 5 years of driving. I clipped a Ford Fiesta, mirror to mirror. His mirror is totally destroyed. Mine is fine. I was so stressed afterwards that I reversed straight into another car. FML

Today, it was a VERY windy day. A tree blew over and landed on my car, obliterating the windows, and totalling it. I only bought it yesterday. FML

Today, I was at my friend's house. It was dark and downpouring so I couldn't see as I was backing out of his driveway. I made it out, but then my phone went off, scaring me, and I accidentally hit the gas pedal, hitting his neighbor's parked car. Turns out he called to warn me to watch out for it. FML

Today, I was driving around my campsite at dark in the middle of a forest. My father thought it would be funny to run up to my window, put his face against the glass and scream. I drove into a tree. FML

Today, after failing my learner's licence twice in the previous weeks, I finally passed. As I got home, I went for a drive with my dad. I smashed my mum's car into an old lady's fence and ended up in her backyard. FML

If you think that being able to reverse a car is something to brag about, then maybe you shouldn't be driving... That's sort of like putting your dishes in the sink, then bragging that you are so good at cleaning...

I would normally agree with this. But I actually backed into a tree once but even though it wasn't really my fault I still hit a tree and have to take responsibility. I was backing up to a downward slope and the tree was growing at an angle on the slope. There was a long broken off branch I couldn't see that I backed into. It was about 2 inches below the top of my trunk. Even though there was no way to see it while backing, I still feel shame 15 years later knowing I backed into a tree.

there's a place in Chicago I've delivered to. Because of the placement of several low bridges, I have to arrive by 3 a.m. (no traffic to speak of) turn onto the street 3 blocks away into the opposite direction, back my 53' trailer up 3 blocks, and around a corner into an ally, between the building, and one of the said low bridges. I'm good at reversing. ?

If I have learned anything at all over the years it is that uttering any variation of the phrase "watch this" before performing an action will result in immediate failure. Sorry OP, but you set yourself up for that one.
